Classes

Miami Meditation Center offers meditation classes to learn the basics of meditation as well as providing an informal place where more experienced participants can practice in a group setting with the increased energy.

What do we do?

Most classes involve sitting in silence with full concentration on being aware of the breath. This simple activity brings great calmness and clarity. If the mind wanders we bring it back to the breath. Again and again. Gradually there is an improvement in the ability to maintain the focus of the mind

First visit

Come 10 minutes early if its your first visit so you can get some instruction. You can sit on a chair or on floor cushions. You should feel comfortable. Shoes are removed so you may want to bring socks.

Clothing

Comfortable loose fitting clothing is best. Since we are located in a tropical island community we are very informal. Do not wear anything that may be a distraction to others.

We are supported by the generosity of individuals who understand the importance of mediation. Our program revenues cover only a portion of our operating expenses. Tax deductible donations may be made to Miami Meditation Center Fund thru the Key Biscayne Community Foundation.
